Join your friends, neighbors, elected and appointed officials, for the “Designing Our Palm Beach” Charrette Week Kick-Off.

During the event, the consultant team will discuss the input and public engagement received to date to ensure we heard your voices clearly, then begin to discuss possible planning tools to address specific zoning issues.

Valet parking will be provided on Seaview Avenue.

A charrette is a fancy term for a group working session or pinup design review. The word comes from the French word for cart. Upon the deadline to finish a final project, French architecture schools would pass around a cart on which students would place their projects. This term is still widely used in the design community for pinup design review sessions and has made its way into city planning lexicon.

The kick-off is one of several events taking place during “Designing Our Palm Beach” Week, starting Monday, February 27, 2023 and continuing through Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Town of Palm Beach Mandel Recreation Center.
